Metal Alloys Inc. is involved in manufacturing, exporting, trading and supplying a extensive range of Bismuth Sheets, Plates, Bars, Pipes and Tubes to our most valuable clients. Bismuth is a brittle, crystalline metal that has a silvery white hue when freshly produced. Over time, surface oxidation lends the metal a pinkish or iridescent tinge. It can occur naturally in elemental form, as sulphide and oxide ores, and as mineral deposits. It is also obtained as a by-product of mining and refining other metals such as Copper, Silver, Gold, Lead and Tin.

Bismuth is the most naturally diamagnetic material, meaning it resists being magnetised and is repelled by a magnetic field. It also has one of the lowest values of thermal conductivity among metals and low electric conductivity. It has high electrical resistivity and a very low melting point. When Bismuth is burned in oxygen, it has a distinct blue flame, while its oxide forms yellow fumes. Bismuth is relatively nontoxic, especially compared to other heavy metals.

High purity Bismuth, cast as thin discs or plates finds use as a Sputtering Target, for applications such as Thin Film Deposition and the creation of optical coatings. Pure High Bismuth also exhibits a high absorption of gamma rays, which makes it useful as a filter or window for these particles, whilst at the same time permitting the passage of neutrons.

Bismuth is cast in solid stick-like form, as rods, whose applications include use in semiconductors, electrodes, and for Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) and Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) processes.

Bismuth is often cast and used in small needles or lump format. The crystal structure in such formats is Rhombohedral, and the lumps can be used in the production of bismuth alloys, in the making of welding electrodes, and in the manufacture of low melting and lead-free solders and fusible alloys. The fact that Bismuth and many of its alloys expand slightly when they solidify makes them ideal for use as solders.

We are one of the leading supplier of a wide range of Bismuth produtcs that are fabricated using superior quality raw material in compliance with set industrial standards.
